The 2023 Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) Studbook Series for Show Jumping takes place in regions nationwide from May to July. This HSI Studbook Series is supported with a total prize fund of €95,000 by the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) under National Breeding Services.
Neil and Melanie had a fantastic weekend competing their young horses in the second leg of the HSI Show Jumping Studbook Series in early May this year at Barnadown Showjumping in county Wexford.
Ardeo on Q, a 5 year old gelding by OBOS Quality is an extremely impressive jumper with so much confidence and scope. Ridden by Melanie, he jumped clear in a class of over a hundred horses where the strike rate was below 50%.
Ardeo Spring, a 7 year old gelding, took on his first age class and his second round in the ring at 130cms when ridden by Neil in the 7 year olds.
He was so impressive against the other well established 7 year olds in his class. We look forward to watching their progress over the coming season.
